Today's to do list.

Give presentations in small groups about our Situation comedy.

Plan talk show videos - by the end of the day you should chose the casting (who will host, who will guest, who will film); the topic; the location; the duration; the staging.

As a class we will decide the duration of each film.



On Friday we will begin filming.

Nov 6 schedule

1. chose 2 talk show videos (with different hosts) and answer the ten questions
2. check your answers with the clip providers.
3. Read Oprah Winfrey article.
4. Finish watching An Inconvenient Truth, and answer your worksheets.

For Friday's class
1. Finish the Oprah Winfrey controversy exercises.
2. Try to find an article that explores a controversy of some sort with your Talk show host.
a. Format the paper like the Oprah Winfrey sheet (highlight difficult words, leave space for discussion questions, summary and further investigation.) Make 5 copies of your article and bring to class.

For next Wednesday's class

1. Begin to think about making your own talk show in groups. Who is the host? Who will be the guests? Do you want to be yourselves, or do you want to make up characters, or pretend to be real famous people (Like Paris Hilton, or Oprah Winfrey.)
